The economic impacts have been better in the case of US as well as other developed economies, especially after the recent recession, which forced many otherwise homemakers to pursue employment, and thus utilizing their unharnessed talents for economic gains; while creating a healthy competition in the job market. Moreover, even though media has been frenzy about racial and gender discrimination in the workplace (especially within the HR department), such incidences are much more common within developing and under-developed countries. As far as racial differences are concerned, the election of a President with African-American descent is evidence of the fact that the beliefs of the American populace are changing for the better. The economic influence of such events will be advantageous and profitable. Undoubtedly the most obvious and terrible social effect is that some of these couples are treated as outcasts by their own family and community members. Along with this, generation gaps cause even more negative social impacts towards the issue, especially if the cultures and beliefs amongst the coupleââ¬â¢s culture differ substantially.
